Tracer is the zigbee alliance validated test harness used by Element for ZSE profile certification testing. It gives users the opportunity to run the same tests that Element performs during the formal testing process. Smart Energy Test Tool – NTS SETest 1.1 was the first test harness for the zigbee Smart Energy 1.1 standard. It is a complete reference test tool emulating all of the various types of zigbee Smart Energy devices, along with automating the certification test suite for zigbee Smart Energy 1.1.  SETest 1.1 brings a number of improvements over its predecessor, including the ability for clients to add their own test scripts, new hardware with increased memory, OTA (Over The Air), Key Establishment (KE) security, etc. NTS’s SETest was the first certified test tool for the zigbee Smart Energy standard, and is at the forefront of the latest updates to the zigbee Smart Energy test specification.

Home Automation Test Tool – NTS HATest test harness has been designed by NTS as a complete reference test tool emulating all of the various types of zigbee Home Automation devices, along with the automation of the certification test suite for the zigbee Home Automation standard. NTS’s HATest tool includes reference hardware emulating zigbee Home Automation devices, along with an application which facilitates execution of the certification suite. The harness automates the execution of the certification suite for zigbee Home Automation making it easy for NTS customers to achieve zigbee certification.

RF4CE Automation Test Tool – The NTS RF4CETest test harness is a complete reference test tool for the zigbee RF4CE specification, emulating the various types of zigbee RF4CE devices. NTS test tool has been designed to allow manufacturers and developers to pre-test their devices and increase the likelihood they will earn zigbee Certified product status the first time. The tool includes reference hardware emulating zigbee RF4CE devices and an application that allows for the automation of the test specification.

TÜV Rheinland has developed the zigbee Test Tool for testing of products as a part of the zigbee alliance certification process. This harness consist of a software product along with a radio dongle-USB stick format – which enables a computer to emulate various zigbee profiles and interact with a device under test. By running the built-in scripts, the developer can pre-test their product prior to submission for certification testing; hence knowing it will pass and avoid expensive and timely re-testing. These devices help speed the manufacturer’s products to market with assurance to their technical capability.

TÜV Rheinland Test Tool enables a laptop to become a back-office test lab device. The device can also be used as a field installation tool to perform zigbee profile testing and debugging interoperability issues for Smart Energy (SE), Building Automation (BA), Home Automation (HA) and Light Link (ZLL). It also includes the complete reference test tool for the zigbee RF4CE specification.

Unique in the industry, the TÜV Rheinland Test Harness Program provides manufacturers or system integrators with a clear roadmap for certification and a fixed budget cost upfront. It is the same test harness system used by TÜV Rheinland engineers for certification testing and is now available to our clients.

Test Harness is a fully-automated tool to perform zigbee alliance Home Automation tests without the need of manual verifications. Test Harness is a cost effective solution that allows Products Developers to check their implementations, before starting the official certification process. It can emulate several types of zigbee Home Automation devices and, interacting with real products, it produces detailed test reports.

Test Harness provides all the mandatory ZGD (zigbee Gateway Device) Procedures and implements the zigbee Home Automation 1.2 Standard. Other Profiles will be added following the zigbee alliance releases. User Specified Devices and Test Plans can also be defined in Test Harness following Profiles and Cluster specifications and enabling the execution of single tests or fully automated test plans outside the official certification program.
