Why use a ZigBee Platform? The Compliant Platform testing program ensures the OEMs and developers the interoperability of platform building blocks for end products. Member companies can qualify for one of two test programs: the "ZigBee Compliant Platform" or the "ZigBee Certified Product" program. The "ZigBee Certified" testing program applies to modules and end products built on ZigBee public application profiles or manufacturer specific profiles. ZIGBEE CERTIFIED TESTING PROGRAMS

ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP)
The ZigBee Compliant Platform (ZCP) Program applies to modules or platforms which are intended to be used as building blocks for end products. Tested products will receive a confirmation letter granting the use of the term "ZigBee Compliant Platform." Note that scope of certification testing may differ if the system contains already certified components.

ZigBee Certified Products
The Certification Program applies to end products built upon a ZigBee Compliant Platform. These products can use a ZigBee Public Application Profile or a Manufacturer Specific Profile. After successful completion of this testing program, the ZigBee Logo can be applied to ZigBee Certified Products using a Public Application Profile as per the ZigBee Membership, Trademarks, Designations and Logos Policy.
