The SafePlug 1202 electrical outlet installs into a standard 120V 15A outlet and provides two independently controlled receptacles. Each receptacle features independent:
· Power (energy) monitoring,
· Line voltage monitoring,
· On/off control,
· Demand Response (DR) control,
· DR verification,
· Appliance tracking,
· Fire and shock protection, and
· Cold load start smoothing.
The SafePlug 1202 includes EFCI safety technology and RightPlug digital plug encoding. EFCI safety technology provides protection against fires and load device damage caused by overloads and abnormal line voltage.
Each SafePlug Model 1202 outlet can report the presence, absence and unique identification of each individual plug load if the plug is has integral RightPlug encoding or an add-on encoding tag. These tags can be retrofitted on to any 15A appliance plug. RightPlug encoding enhances plug load DR by providing confirmation that plug loads remain connected, not removed, throughout a DR event.
The SafePlug 1202 complies with NEMA WD6 standard, UL 498A safety std., CSA 22.2 safety std. no. 42, FCC, and Industry Canada requirements.
